In partnership with the Huron County Business Advisory Council and Firelands Forward, 32 students attended business tours of SC Strategic Solutions, Fisher-Titus Medical Center, and Dutch-Maid Logistics. The Information Technology cluster includes careers related to the design, development, support, and management of computer systems. It involves building, maintaining, and repairing hardware, software, and information technology systems. The industry is currently growing at an annual compound growth rate of 5%. “We hope to continue with this format for many other industries based off the students’ YouScience data. Through the aptitude test our local schools are administering, we will be able to customize the student experience based off their results” says Sarah Ross, Director of the Norwalk Economic Development Corporation, “NEDC is grateful to have the support of the BAC, Firelands Forward, and the many Huron County businesses willing to open their doors to our future workforce.”
